About the role

  • At Blue Mantis, we design, implement, and manage secure, high-performance digital operating environments for leading companies nationwide.
  • Senior Network Engineer to join our team, supporting a large, complex customer environment.
  • Role requires expertise in Cisco/Nexus, Meraki, Palo Alto, Check Point, F5, Cisco SANs; incident response; documentation and process improvement.
  • Proactive network maintenance and runbooks; SOPs; documentation.
  • On-Call support; cross-functional collaboration; incident response and troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in network engineering roles, with a focus on enterprise-scale environments.
  • Proven track record in incident management, RCA, and delivering network solutions under tight deadlines.
  • Experience with firmware updates, patches, and hardware lifecycle management.
  • Switching and Routing: Cisco and Nexus switches, VLANs, trunking, spanning tree, and Layer 3 routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).
  • Firewalls: Palo Alto and Check Point firewalls, policy configuration, troubleshooting, high availability and optimization.
  • Wireless and Cloud Networking: Meraki networks and cloud-based management.
  • Load Balancing: physical and virtual F5 load balancers, including configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Monitoring and Automation: SolarWinds and scripting (Python, Ansible, or similar).
  • Soft skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities; strong verbal and written communication.
  • Certifications (Preferred): CCNP or higher; PCNSE; CCSE; F5 Certified Administrator.
