About the role

  • Act as a direct line for the founder’s product vision & material innovations, and ensure vision is successfully executed at each stage of development, meeting business goals, launch targets and deadlines
  • Define and own the product innovation and development strategy, aligning material science, sustainability, and brand growth objectives
  • Lead, build and mentor a multidisciplinary Product team — including design, development, raw materials, sourcing, and merchandising — fostering creativity and accountability
  • Champion fiber, yarn, and fabric innovation, exploring new technologies, sustainable materials, and partnerships that strengthen Huha’s brand differentiation
  • Attend industry trade shows, trend events, and innovation summits to identify emerging opportunities and inform product direction
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration across Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, Customer Care and Operations
  • Partner with Marketing to align product innovation with brand storytelling, collection naming, and trademark strategy
  • Translate customer insights, market trends, and business goals into compelling product assortments
  • Champion sustainability, innovation, and efficiency in product creation
  • Establish seasonal calendars, ensuring adherence to critical path timelines
  • Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle and processes: concept, design, materials & trims, prototyping, compliance, fit testing, sampling, approval, and bulk production handoff
  • Work closely with Supply Chain on materials sourcing, vendor relations, and cost alignment
  • Build scalable, efficient product creation processes suited to a high-growth environment
  • Ensure every product meets Huha’s standards for comfort, quality, function, and fit
  • Partner with Marketing on line planning, launch calendars, and storytelling
  • Own product presentations and milestone meetings (collection reviews, fit sessions, costing reviews, etc)
  • Oversee fit and wear testing objectives, ensuring garments meet functional and brand expectations
  • Ensure launched products meet customer satisfaction standards and target product rating
  • Build scalable product development processes and tools for a growing team
  • Partner with Finance and Supply Chain on COGS analysis, margin targets, and profitability optimization
  • Manage product and R&D budgets, balancing cost efficiency with innovation investments
  • Drive decision-making around value engineering without compromising brand integrity or customer satisfaction
  • Lead the Product organization end-to-end (Product Design, Raw Materials, Product Development), setting clear direction, priorities, and ways of working that scale with Huha’s growth
  • Build and coach a high-performing team through mentorship, feedback, and development plans — creating clarity around roles, ownership, and decision rights while nurturing creativity and craft
  • Create a culture of accountability and excellence by establishing measurable goals (quality, timelines, customer satisfaction, cost targets) and ensuring consistent follow-through across the critical path
  • Operate as a calm, decisive leader who removes roadblocks, makes high-quality tradeoffs quickly, and communicates decisions with context and confidence
  • Strengthen cross-functional alignment by partnering closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, and Customer Care to ensure shared goals, clear handoffs, and fast issue resolution
  • Set and maintain best-in-class product rituals (weekly standups, milestone reviews, fit sessions, costing checkpoints, post-launch retros) to keep teams aligned, accountable, and moving
  • Elevate tools and process maturity by implementing repeatable systems for briefs, calendars, BOMs, vendor communication, fit feedback, and development documentation — without slowing innovation
  • Champion inclusive, values-driven leadership that supports psychological safety, encourages healthy debate, and keeps the team connected to Huha’s customer, brand standards, and sustainability commitments
  • Represent Product internally and externally as a senior leader — influencing direction with data and intuition, and cultivating relationships with key vendors, innovators, and industry partners

Requirements

  • 8–12+ years’ experience in apparel product development, ideally in intimates, lingerie, or performance wear with a strong record in innovation, textile development, or fiber science
  • Proven leadership experience managing and mentoring product teams
  • Strong understanding of apparel design, development, and production processes
  • Expertise in fiber, yarn, and fabric innovation, including sustainability and testing standards
  • Experience integrating brand and product strategy, including naming, storytelling, and trademark development
  • Familiarity with compliance, product testing, and sustainability certifications (e.g., OEKO-TEX, WRAP, etc)
  • Strong collaboration skills across departments, particularly Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, high-growth environment
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and project management skills
