Lead and collaborate on executing month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Identify improvements to the process to facilitate ERP system automation of entries.
Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
Review accruals for travel-related expenses, commissions, and vendor liabilities.
Prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
Manage intercompany transactions between U.S. and international entities, including transfer pricing adjustments and elimination entries for consolidation.
Partner with tax advisors, accounting and leadership to ensure compliance with local tax regulations and U.S. reporting requirements.
Collaborate with international finance teams to align reporting and processes.
Review and analyze commission revenues, refunds, and chargebacks.
Partner with operations teams to ensure accurate recording of client billings and travel-related costs.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax reporting requirements and assist in audits.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency in accounting operations.
Support the implementation and optimization of accounting systems and travel management platforms.
Assist with design, implementation and application of controls.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2–5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in travel, hospitality, or a similar multi-entity environment.
Strong technical accounting expertise, particularly in revenue recognition.
Experience with multi-entity operations and intercompany accounting.
Experience collaborating with overseas/international accounting teams.
Experience implementing and complying with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, general ledger systems, and financial reporting.
Experience with foreign currency transactions and transfer pricing adjustments.
Experience with GDS (Global Distribution Systems), customer and vendor reconciliations, and commission structures.
Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or QuickBooks Enterprise).
Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments and regions.
Preferred: CPA or CPA candidate.
Preferred: Knowledge of transfer pricing rules and multi-jurisdictional tax considerations.
Preferred: Previous experience in a high-growth, fast-paced organization.
