About the role
- Provide high-quality technical support and service to medical imaging customers, including installation, inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of medical imaging equipment.
- Work independently in the field to diagnose and resolve technical issues while adhering to safety regulations and OEM specifications.
- Service medical imaging equipment focused within the United States; calibrate and troubleshoot imaging systems and computer components to ensure performance aligns with OEM specifications.
- Ensure systems operate effectively to meet customer needs and expectations and represent the company professionally in all on-site interactions.
- Evaluate, install, and perform preventive maintenance on imaging equipment; provide advanced-level troubleshooting and repair of electronic, mechanical, and network-related issues.
- Continually expand knowledge base in repair and installation of equipment and document newly developed processes.
- Provide regular project updates, feedback, and insights to management including the Zone Service Director to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Provide training to end users and remain available to address technical issues and respond to inquiries promptly.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support team and organizational goals; travel up to 50% and comply with physical and work environment demands.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
- 3-7 years’ experience in medical imaging engineering or equivalent (minimum 3 years required).
- 2 years Philips or Siemens MRI experience; GE MRI or CT a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and maintain focus.
- Mechanical aptitude and desire to solve problems using initiative and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work on concurrent projects and ensure timelines are met.
- Capable of building positive working relationships with team members, customers and vendors.
- Flexible, solution-oriented, and mature leadership qualities.
- Thorough knowledge of safety regulations.
- Exceptional communication skills including active listening, clear verbal expression, and effective writing.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, keyboarding, and internet research.
- Experience with computer diagnostic software and hardware.
- Database entry and management skills.
- Valid driver’s license and proof of safe driving history; must be 21 or older to drive company vehicle.
- Must submit to and successfully complete MVR and criminal background check and drug screen.
- Must submit to and pass a medical exam required under Department of Transportation (DOT) Regulations and a written examination if asked to operate rental trucks or fleet vehicles.
- Drivers must comply with on-the-job driver’s safety training if asked to operate rental trucks or fleet vehicles.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%.
- Physical ability to frequently bend, stoop, reach, climb, kneel and/or twist and sometimes lift/push/pull over 25 lbs. up to 75 lbs.
