About the role

  • Responsible for coordination of the construction on the project
  • Manages and coordinates all on-site subcontractor activities for compliance with the CPM schedule
  • Implements the Project Construction Execution Plan
  • Directs staff in the daily and weekly planning process
  • Supervises and mentors all superintendents; monitors their activities and provides leadership
  • Monitors and reports on construction productivity and schedule performance to the Project Field Manager
  • Takes actions necessary to meet project budget and schedule requirements
  • Directs and approves the development and implementation of subcontractor schedule recovery plans
  • Coordinates the Construction Completion Walkdowns
  • Supervises the close out of all punch list items
  • Monitors all extra work authorization requests, back charges, and supplier and subcontractor progress/final payment requests for acceptance

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering or related field preferred
  • 18+ years construction supervisory experience required, with at least 5 years of previous construction manager experience
  • Knowledge of construction technology (Simple Cycle, Combined Cycle, Pulverized Coal, Circulating Fluidized Bed, Nuclear)
  • Knowledge of EPC industry
  • Constructability knowledge
  • Knowledge of project budget process and tools
  • Knowledge of department budget process and tools
  • Knowledge of Project controls
  • Risk assessment/management
  • Administrative policies and procedures
  • Construction Project Management Systems
