About the role

  • Develop and execute sales strategies for data centers, and other related infrastructure projects
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with key clients, investors, and partners
  • Lead negotiations for selling data center sites to customers and building strategic partnerships
  • Responsible for sourcing, managing, and driving deals to close
  • Ensure compliance with legal, financial, and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to identify new opportunities and inform strategy
  • Direct Site Origination team to source sites in target regions in alignment with client strategy
  • Represent the company at industry events and forums to enhance visibility
  • Collaborate with Project Finance, Operations, Energy, Legal, and Marketing teams to structure and deliver successful transactions
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to team members
  • Establish KPIs and track progress against business development goals
  • Prepare executive-level reports and presentations for senior leadership

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • 10+ years in business development, origination, or sales within technology or infrastructure sectors
  • Proven track record of closing complex deals and managing strategic partnerships
  • Experience and relationships with data center owner/operators
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills
  • Excellent communication and executive presentation abilities
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
