About the role
- Evaluate design engineering, procurement, and construction activities through quality management system reviews, project and supplier audits
- Assess engineering deliverables, and perform in-process inspections at supplier shops and project field locations
- Establish and maintain quality controls for Nuclear QA programs
- Determine goals based on project regulations, NQA-1 requirements, ASME Code requirements
- Develop and provide appropriate quality training for engineering support staff
- Report quality program metrics to management
- Monitor progress, report observations or needs for corrective/preventive actions
- Attend and participate in meetings, conferences, and training
Requirements
- 4 year degree in Engineering from an accredited college
- 5 years of experience specific to overseeing the design of nuclear projects
- Certified Lead Auditor, American Society for Quality Certification
