About the role

  • Evaluate design engineering, procurement, and construction activities through quality management system reviews, project and supplier audits
  • Assess engineering deliverables, and perform in-process inspections at supplier shops and project field locations
  • Establish and maintain quality controls for Nuclear QA programs
  • Determine goals based on project regulations, NQA-1 requirements, ASME Code requirements
  • Develop and provide appropriate quality training for engineering support staff
  • Report quality program metrics to management
  • Monitor progress, report observations or needs for corrective/preventive actions
  • Attend and participate in meetings, conferences, and training

Requirements

  • 4 year degree in Engineering from an accredited college
  • 5 years of experience specific to overseeing the design of nuclear projects
  • Certified Lead Auditor, American Society for Quality Certification
