About the role
- Manage the provision of legal services and advice by outside counsel in the U.S. and globally
- Review work of outside counsel and manage input from BV professionals on transaction and other legal documents
- Coordinate a variety of complex legal deliverables for larger projects
- Research complex legal issues and develop for leadership review
- Manage, plan, direct and coordinate provision of legal services
- Align legal assistance and counsel for project pursuit teams in connection with business transactions
- Manage negotiations to protect business interests and minimize risk
- Proactively provide guidance and direction on legal and government affairs standards, systems, and company policies
- Develop, implement, and maintain legal standards
- Supervise lower level attorneys
Requirements
- Law degree required
- Licensed to practice law in at least 1 jurisdiction
- Typically 8+ years of experience
