About the role
- Coordinate the entire import process (ocean, air, and road)
- Review and validate international shipping documents
- Monitor customs clearance with brokers
- Negotiate with international suppliers and freight forwarders
- Prepare and control import cost spreadsheets
- Manage special customs regimes
- Interface with regulatory agencies when applicable
- Support internal and external audits related to foreign trade
- Maintain and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the area
- Propose process improvements and support training for the team
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in import operations in Brazil
- Proven experience in LATAM logistics and import/export regulations
- Experience with special customs regimes is a plus
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations and Brazilian Federal Revenue rules
- Advanced English (reading, writing, and speaking)
- Spanish is a strong advantage for regional coordination
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
