About the role
- Support the Sizewell C waste operation by driving continuous improvement in compliance, health & safety, and on-site service performance
- Work collaboratively across the division and engage with stakeholders inside and outside reporting structure
- Manage collections, subcontractors, reporting, invoicing, and waste consultancy from client site
- Champion a proactive safety culture and ensure all site operations meet HSE policies and procedures
- Develop and deliver HSE strategies, induction content, and ongoing education
- Review and update RAMS, EMP, EICP, and Health & Safety plans
- Ensure full compliance of 3rd party contractors with HSE and environmental requirements
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments and drive continuous improvement
- Maintain incident records, analyse data, and identify opportunities for performance improvement
- Produce HSE communications, reports and bulletins, and support environmental incident and emergency response activities
Requirements
- NEBOSH qualification (essential) with strong HSE focus
- Extensive operational experience in services or logistics, ideally within a unionised environment
- Proven ability to deliver against clearly defined service delivery KPIs
- Track record of driving continuous improvement and managing Profit & Loss
- Strong transport/logistics knowledge with understanding of time-critical service requirements
- Knowledge of waste industry regulations and current/future environmental & health & safety legislation
