Oversee entire operations of a housing community portfolio including personnel, leasing, maintenance, financial, administration & risk management
Supervise all aspects of the property and staff to ensure compliance with company policies, safety and fair housing guidelines, and liability concerns
Screen, hire, train, coach, and develop on-site staff; manage performance and terminations; approve timesheets
Achieve net operating income via cost control and revenue/leasing improvement; develop budgets and provide monthly financial evaluations
Develop marketing plans, leasing strategies, and resident retention programs; handle resident complaints and show/lease units
Ensure administrative & leasing reporting accuracy, manage emergencies, monitor maintenance, property appearance, and capital improvement suggestions
Travel 25-50% annually for property visits, conferences, training sessions, or other business-related activities
Requirements
Student housing experience required
High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or four years experience in the housing industry; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred
Ability to understand and perform all on-site software functions; basic computer skills required
Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements
