About the role

  • Manage and process purchase orders, supplier invoices and supplier payments.
  • Check and process employee expense claims.
  • Reconcile company credit cards.
  • Manage sales invoices, ensuring compliance with customer requirements.
  • Engage with customers and suppliers, responding to inquiries and building strong relationships.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate billing.
  • Prepare prepayments, accruals and other balance sheet reconciliations, as part of the month-end closing process.
  • Manage accounts receivable collections by tactfully chasing outstanding payments.
  • Maintain financial accuracy through regular bank reconciliations and promptly address any queries.
  • Generate regular accounts payable / receivable reports and support month-end financial procedures.
  • Manage preparation of monthly sales reports to publishers.
  • Manage submission of VAT returns.
  • Help optimise internal operations and processes across the business.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities by providing necessary data and insights.
  • Support the finance team with various ad-hoc requests to contribute to our collective success.

Requirements

  • Accounting certification (or working towards an accounting certification)
  • 2/3+ years of experience within a similar role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical abilities with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience using Xero or other accounting software
