💰 $23 - $27 per hour
About the role
- Work alongside experienced actuarial professionals and contribute to a range of impactful projects
- Support pricing, reserving, and/or data science initiatives through assigned projects and analysis
- Apply actuarial and statistical techniques to evaluate insurance products and assess profitability
- Learn and apply actuarial methods while working with internal and external data sources
- Create data visualizations using tools such as Microsoft Excel and Power BI
- Present findings and insights to Actuarial leadership and other key stakeholders
Requirements
- Enrollment in a four-year degree program for actuarial science, mathematics, statistics or related field (sophomore level or above preferred)
- GPA of 3.0 or higher required
- Completion of an actuarial exam preferred
- Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Excel and/or PowerBI
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience with data and statistical analysis performed in SQL, R, and/or Python preferred
- Ability to take initiative and ownership of assigned projects in a fast-paced environment
- High level of integrity, accountability, and a strong work ethic
- Expected to work in one of our offices 3 days per week and be available for travel as required
