Own the evaluation of the feasibility and effectiveness of new hedge programs, ensuring alignment with the organization's risk management framework
Design and conduct testing and analysis on new hedge programs, both rider and indexed, associated with new and existing products
Partner with divisional Product Development teams on new product market risks and hedging mitigation analysis
Influence Product Development in their design through prioritizing and balancing hedge effectiveness and efficiency
Analyze and recommend enhancements to current hedge programs based on industry research and stakeholder considerations
Lead continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing program performance, identifying areas for enhancement, and implementing best practices in hedging strategies
Conduct regular market analysis identifying hedging best practices and emerging trends from peer companies in the industry
Assess the viability and effectiveness of common industry best hedging practices and drive enhancements to current hedge programs
Own the model calibration, implementation and testing of Numerix and other exotic option valuation software
Serve as a key contributor on the Enterprise ALM Hedging team and partner with stakeholders throughout the company
Requirements
FSA designation required
6+ years of actuarial experience (preferred)
Hands-on experience in hedging, with knowledge of both life and annuity products
Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, finance, mathematics, or a related field
Proficient in Bloomberg, Tableau, Prophet, Python
Experience with Numerix and other exotic option valuation software (model calibration, implementation, testing)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and intellectual rigor
Effective communicator with the ability to build relationships and collaborate across teams
Proven track record of advancing projects and delivering actionable insights
Willingness to relocate if not located near Newport Beach, CA or Omaha, NE; hybrid schedule requires four days in the office
