About the role
- Support and maintain Infrastructure Technologies in the Brookings plant according to BEL group standards
- Install, Configure, and Support network technologies such as Cisco switches and Meraki access points
- Install and configure PC hardware and software across various devices (desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, etc.)
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to computer systems, hardware, network, and software
- Respond to inquiries via phone, email, messaging, and in-person; provide clear, friendly communication and follow-up
- Provide training to coworkers on new products and services, including troubleshooting techniques and best practices
- Onboard new hires: provision computers & peripherals; maintain accurate asset inventory
- Monitor systems and network performance; use monitoring tools to identify and resolve issues proactively
- Oversee new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades; validate changes in coordination with plant operations
- Plan and execute projects to deliver results on time and with high quality
- Participate in evaluation and implementation of vendor-supplied software and hardware
- Assist in deploying or upgrading switches, access points, servers, and related hardware
- Maintain up-to-date diagrams of network and server topology for the Brookings site
- Create and maintain IT operational documents: instructions, guidelines, reference sheets, etc.
- Interface with vendors for contract support and warranty repairs
- Collaborate with IS Project Managers, plant engineering, and global IT teams; escalate issues appropriately
- Interact with Bel Group global IT Teams. Escalate and redirect issues beyond purview or expertise to next level
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices, safety rules, food safety procedures, environmental and sanitation protocols as applicable to plant operations
Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience in IT support, service desk, desktop support, or IT operations
- Degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience appreciated
- Experience with Active Directory, O365 and Azure environments, including Teams, Outlook, Office Apps, and Endpoint Manager (Intune) a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to explain technical topics to non-technical audiences
- Customer-service mindset; patient, responsive, and reliable follow-through
- Windows, Microsoft 365/Office Apps, Active Directory basics
- Network fundamentals and troubleshooting (DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP); exposure to Cisco/Meraki
- Printer support, mobile device support (iOS/Android), and basic telephony administration
- Foundational virtualization concepts (VMware)
- Time management, prioritization of multiple tasks, robust documentation habits
