About the role

  • Translate client needs into technical specifications and lead the design, development, and deployment of BI solutions using Tableau, Power BI, and Excel-based reporting.
  • Apply data visualization best practices and advanced analytical techniques to build insightful, interactive, and actionable dashboards that support decision-making.
  • Utilize agile and other delivery approaches while embedding QA reviews, mid-development validations, and unit testing to ensure reliability of BI solutions.
  • Collaborate with project leads and clients to refine reporting needs, provide updates, and present results through compelling data stories and visualizations.
  • Manage and support BI/reporting developers, mentor junior associates on visualization techniques, and ensure smooth task execution across teams.
  • Deliver clear, visually driven presentations and dashboards tailored to stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on new Power BI/Tableau features, adopt emerging visualisation trends, and continuously optimise dashboards for better usability and impact.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in Power BI/Tableau - reporting, and analytics projects (consulting experience preferred).
  • Exposure to medium-to-large scale technology/BI solution delivery environments.
  • Ability to work effectively in global, cross-functional teams with flexibility to support multiple projects.
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI and/or Tableau for dashboards, reports, and interactive visualizations.
  • Strong expertise in SQL for querying, data analysis, and report development.
  • Familiarity with data pipelines, data quality, and DBMS fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with modern BI platforms.
  • Understanding of data modeling concepts, BI data management best practices, and analytics methodologies.
  • Basic exposure to cloud BI environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and distributed data systems.
  • Foundational programming knowledge in Python or similar scripting languages (for analytics/automation).
  • Preferred Skill Sets (Good to Have)
  • Exposure to Agile delivery methods and iterative development cycles.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in collaborative teams.
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to manage multiple deliverables.
  • Interpersonal strengths such as active listening, adaptability, curiosity, and openness to feedback.
