About the role
- Lead and contribute to buy- and sell-side technology due diligence engagements
- Evaluating IT strategy, architecture, infrastructure, and organisational capabilities to assess technology maturity, scalability, and alignment with business objectives
- Support the assessment of product strategy, roadmap, and functional/ feature differentiation as part of broader due diligence engagements
- Provide expert input on IT financials, including detailed analysis of operating and capital expenditures (Opex/Capex), synergy modelling, IT carve-out costing, benchmarking, and cost estimation
- Collaborate with leadership to develop tailored proposals and sales pitches for prospective clients
- Play an active role in developing the M&A Technology practice by refining methodologies, tools, and knowledge assets
- Work closely with colleagues across Europe on engagements spanning multiple industries and geographies
- Support the execution of BearingPoint’s firmwide M&A strategy, including involvement in internal portfolio reviews, venture investments, and strategic initiatives
Requirements
- 4–5+ years of relevant work experience, including at least 3 years in industry and/or a technology company with a complex IT landscape, ideally in a senior business analyst or consulting role
- Proven experience in executing technology due diligence engagements
- Exposure to IT separation and integration projects is a plus, though not mandatory
- Strong financial acumen with demonstrable experience in IT Opex/Capex analysis, synergy modelling, carve-out costing, benchmarking, and cost estimation
- Business-oriented mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver results under pressure
- Collaborative team player with experience mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to a supportive team culture
- Excellent communication skills, with a track record of producing high-quality written reports and client presentations
- MBA, Master’s or Bachelor’s degree from a leading university, with a strong academic record
- Candidates must have the right to work in the UK
