About the role

  • Lead complex Commercial Due Diligence engagements across buy-side and sell-side transactions, delivering high-quality outcomes under demanding timelines.
  • Provide strategic insights on market dynamics, competitive positioning, and growth opportunities, directly shaping client investment theses.
  • Advise C-level executives, deal teams, and investment committees on commercial viability and value creation strategies.
  • Bring a clear toolbox of proven CDD methodologies, applying them with rigor to ensure impactful, consistent results.
  • Drive origination and growth of CDD and adjacent M&A advisory services, taking ownership for expanding client relationships and market footprint.
  • Build and nurture trusted relationships with Private Equity, corporates, and family offices, leveraging your professional network to accelerate business opportunities.
  • Lead proposals, pitch presentations, and go-to-market initiatives; represent BearingPoint Capital at industry forums and events.
  • Shape and execute the growth strategy for the UK CDD practice while laying the foundations for international expansion over time.
  • Advance methodologies, benchmarking approaches, and market analysis frameworks to strengthen client delivery.
  • Recruit, mentor, and coach project managers and consultants; build resilient, high-performing teams.
  • Contribute to global practice initiatives, sharing insights and fostering continuous learning across the network.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in Commercial Due Diligence, strategy consulting, or M&A advisory, with a proven ability to lead complex projects.
  • Strong methodological grounding in CDD, with the ability to adapt frameworks to diverse client contexts.
  • Demonstrated success in business development and client relationship management, ideally supported by a strong market presence and network.
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations that influence investment decisions.
  • Excellent leadership and people development skills, with experience growing project managers and core teams.
  • Deep sector expertise in one of BearingPoint’s core industries (technology, healthcare, industrials, business services) is a plus.
  • MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK.
