About the role
- Oversee and optimize the global transportation of parcels to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and timely delivery
- Manage relationships with international carriers, including negotiation of contracts
- Coordinate end-to-end international shipments, including scheduling and tracking
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with international carriers to enhance operational efficiency
- Regularly assess carrier performance using KPIs (on-time delivery rates, customer satisfaction) and implement corrective actions
- Manage one or more carrier exception reports that Operations receives daily
- Ensure international shipping activities comply with laws and regulations (customs, import/export controls, hazardous materials handling)
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales, customer service, tech support) to align shipping strategies with business goals
- Attend regular departmental meetings to discuss prior events, propose efficiencies, investigate root causes, and deliver solutions
- Support Operations in responding to internal stakeholders/merchant enquiries in line with procedures
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years in logistics, with proven experience in international logistics or carrier management
- Strong understanding of global shipping operations and regulations
- Excellent written communication skills in English
- An open mind and a proactive, 'can-do' attitude
- Ability to handle a high volume of work with speed, accuracy, and efficiency
- Additional language skills are advantageous
- Advanced troubleshooting and multitasking ability
- A strong focus on addressing and resolving customer issues
- Flexibility in approach and work environment
