About the role
- driving sales and services to existing customers as well as prospecting for new business
- enhancing customer value and satisfaction by aligning complex product solutions and services with key customer initiatives
- building and maintaining relationships with key decision makers or potential influencers
- managing a longer sales cycle
- applying knowledge of the customer's business to develop optimal solutions
- negotiating and collaborating with the customer and colleagues to influence support for mutually beneficial outcomes and achieve consensus
- focusing on sales strategy and execution
- developing thorough knowledge of company policies, ability to interpret them to customers and prospects
- planning sales calls on a continuous basis, organizing time for effective coverage of territory, elimination of needless driving
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 1-3 years successful medical equipment sales
- Experience working with Pharmacy, IT as call points
- Ability to manage a long sale cycle
- Comprehensive understanding of 9 step sales process
- Proven ownership of sales deals – from prospecting to closure
- Successfully developed lead generation at facility and market level
- Independently managed customer expansion order requests to successful completion
- Demonstrated ability to understand and utilize sales enablement tools (SAP, SF.com, QlikView, A360)
- Successfully managed a pipeline and demonstrated forecast accuracy
- Experience working in a team environment, particularly with salespeople
- Strong interpersonal, oral, communication, organizational and planning skills
- Ability to travel 50%, including overnight travel.
- Must possess and maintain a valid drivers’ license and a driving record satisfactory to the Company
- Must possess and maintain a criminal background satisfactory to BD
- Must be able to meet and maintain customer/medical facility access requirements, including regular or periodic drug screenings with a satisfactory result
