About the role
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of clinical site agreements
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of research agreements
- Partner with internal teams including clinical operations, research, and regulatory to provide timely and pragmatic legal advice
- Support the legal aspects of company operations, including vendor management and internal policies
- Manage up-to-date form agreements consistent with industry standards and applicable laws
- Identify legal risks and provide practical solutions that enable the business to move forward
Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar
- 4–7 years of relevant legal experience, ideally including law firm and/or in-house experience
- Experience drafting and negotiating clinical site agreements and research agreements, including a significant volume of contracts in both
- Ability to translate complex legal issues into clear, actionable guidance for business teams
- Preferred experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or life sciences
- Familiarity with clinical development agreements, research agreements, licensing transactions, and research collaborations
- Experience supporting public companies or late-stage private companies
- Understanding of FDA regulatory frameworks or healthcare compliance
