About the role
- Management accounting: Leading the month-end timetable, recording complex financial transactions, performing balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations (including investigating aged items and resolving variances), reviewing work prepared by junior team members, and preparing variance analysis.
- Financial reporting: Supporting the preparation of statutory external filings and completing government-mandated surveys.
- Group reporting: Contributing to group consolidations and reports, and preparing group reconciliations and roll forwards.
- Compliance: Supporting internal and external audits and documenting adherence to internal controls over financial reporting.
Requirements
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent) with some post-qualification experience in management or financial accounting
- Strong knowledge of UK GAAP accounting principles
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with accounting software (D365 experience is advantageous)
