About the role
- In this role, you’ll play an active part in ensuring the Estates and Services Team operates efficiently.
- You’ll support daily office activities, maintain accurate records, manage data entry and correspondence, and provide helpful, professional assistance to staff, students, and external contacts.
- You’ll also take responsibility for the daily management of the university’s vehicle fleet, helping to keep essential services moving.
- We’re looking for someone who enjoys being part of a collaborative team and brings a positive, proactive approach to their work.
- You’ll have strong communication skills, excellent organisation, and confidence using Outlook, Microsoft Office 365, Sharepoint and general administrative tools.
- Accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to balance multiple tasks will help you thrive, along with previous experience in an administrative role.
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written with the ability to work effectively as part of a team whilst building and maintaining good working relationships with people at all levels
- As well as working as part of a team to have the capability to work under your own initiative
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage workloads effectively when working to tight deadlines
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Excellent skills for attention to detail
- 5 GCSE passes Grade C or above including Maths and English (or equivalent)
- Customer Service qualification
- Experience maintaining and developing databases and modernising record systems
