About the role

  • Working to achieve a sales target and managing associated budgets.
  • Being a leader in the local BASF sales team to drive actions that create sales.
  • Sharing best practices of value-based selling techniques to other Business Reps to foster a “copy with pride” mindset on how to manage other OUs and sell BASF products.
  • Coordinating across U.S. Crop regions/districts so BASF maximizes our investment.
  • Embedding into the customer’s business to better serve their needs across a wide range of technologies and customer growth fields.
  • Developing sales roadmaps for consistent sales growth and increased share of wallet.
  • Relying on the key retail account as part of a “sounding board” and center of expertise for market intelligence such as competitive activity, market trends, emerging needs and emerging opportunities.

Requirements

  • Have a Bachelor's degree and 10 years’ experience selling to large corporate accounts.
  • MBA is a plus.
  • Possess valuable selling, negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Have strong communication skills and the ability to identify key influencers and decision makers.
  • Demonstrate strong thinking skills on behalf of the business.
  • Can travel up 50% of the time domestically and live within the geographic territory.
