About the role

  • Developing new commercial agreements including supply agreements and out-licensing agreements while aligning contract terms with key internal stakeholders.
  • Supporting new and ongoing business by partnering with operational readiness resources to launch new market products and accurately forecast material volumes and timing.
  • Working with key team members to identify market opportunities, positioning, and competitive evaluation within the key markets.
  • Leading the Canadian data compensation activities to ensure that we are getting the most value from our company active ingredient assets.
  • Meeting with distribution customers regularly to review project timelines, requests, and technical needs while conducting quarterly business engagements to develop R&D roadmaps.
  • Negotiating with third-party suppliers on in-licensing and out-licensing initiatives while executing supply agreements with distribution partners in close collaboration with the legal team.
  • Working with internal project teams to develop and launch high-value initiatives by building strong business cases that meet the required positive NPV threshold.

Requirements

  • A BS in Chemistry, Agriculture, Bioscience, or related discipline with 10+ years’ experience -OR- MS in Chemistry, Agriculture, Bioscience, or related discipline with 8+ years’ experience -OR- PhD in Chemistry, Agriculture, Bioscience, or related discipline with 6+ years’ experience in Marketing, Sales or Technical role.
  • MBA degree will be a plus.
  • Previous experience leading project teams and working in business case development.
  • Strong entrepreneurial drive, collaboration, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • 5+ years background/experience working in Crop Protection sales/marketing in North America, specifically working directly at the grower/distribution level, will be strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience with any of the following will be a plus: Agribusiness, Digital agriculture tools and valuation of Digital tools and projects, strategy development and implementation, budget management.
