About the role

  • Working to sell and close deals with identified retail partners and F&V (Fruits & Vegetables) businesses based on follow-up from leads coming from the BASF field and industry networks.
  • Working closely and in partnership with BASF sales and marketing team, meeting country level sales targets related to xarvio Digital Farming Solutions.
  • Proactively working with target customers and growing the awareness by attending key events focused on targeted retailers, bio-refineries, and growers.
  • Working with customers to gain feedback, compile feedback and work with the team to create actions to improve or solve issues.
  • Promoting BASF Digital Farming products by speaking at meetings and events as required or requested, and participating as DF or xarvio representative at BASF tradeshow booths.
  • Leading demonstrations, trainings, and webinars on BASF Digital Farming tools and products, and coordinating employee training to ensure effective adoption and use of these solutions.
  • Maintaining expert knowledge of platforms and tools with the ability to act as a representative as part of internal and external projects.

Requirements

  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Agriculture Sciences or related.
  • Possess 10+ years of experience in a Sales Role within the Agriculture and/or the Fruits and Vegetables Industry using their industry and agronomic expertise to develop and strengthen business relationships.
  • Experience with Grapes preferred.
  • Have experience within Digital Agriculture, experience in agriculture retail considered an asset.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills and experience training or leading webinars.
  • Have knowledge of Fruit and Vegetable farming & agronomy practices and equipment.
  • Have a robust computer knowledge, including proficiency in MS Office Suites, with a strong inclination towards web-based applications and digital customer engagement tools.
  • Display strong networking skills, and ability to collaborate within the organization and team
  • Have BASF Product Knowledge or be willing to learn.
  • Have a PCA Certification.
  • Have or are willing to acquire a CCA Certification.
