About the role
- Lead day-to-day management and growth of Bark’s affiliate program within Impact, ensuring accurate tracking, clean attribution, and well-maintained partner terms, offers, and placements.
- Own partner lifecycle management for priority affiliates and publishers: onboarding, enablement, relationship management, performance reviews, and ongoing optimization.
- Evaluate, vet, and approve inbound affiliate applications against Bark’s quality standards, traffic requirements, brand guidelines, and compliance expectations.
- Identify and contribute to outbound partner growth opportunities (publishers, content partners, loyalty/deal partners, and other relevant affiliate types) in alignment with channel goals and brand fit; assisting with outreach and negotiations in partnership with the Director of Partnership Growth.
- Monitor daily performance and traffic health to identify optimization opportunities, detect anomalies, and flag potential fraud, compliance issues, or brand-safety risks.
- Investigate and resolve tracking, attribution, and performance issues in coordination with partners and internal stakeholders; recommend corrective actions and document outcomes.
- Build and maintain a structured optimization roadmap (offers, landing pages, creative, messaging, placements), proposing tests backed by performance data and owning implementation and measurement.
- Prepare and deliver weekly and monthly reporting: performance summaries, insights, learnings, blockers, and recommendations to the Director of Partnership Growth and/or relevant stakeholders.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to brief and coordinate partner needs related to creative assets, promotional mechanics, tracking enhancements, and product updates.
- Manage partner communications cadence (newsletters, promo announcements, product updates, policy changes) to keep partners informed, enabled, and aligned.
- Maintain accurate internal documentation for partner details, placements, terms, and promotional calendars to support operational clarity and auditability.
- Monitor competitive activity, affiliate marketing trends, and emerging traffic sources; share relevant learnings and opportunities with leadership.
- Identify opportunities to improve program workflows and efficiency, including leveraging AI-enabled tools and automation where appropriate.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of experience in affiliate marketing, partnerships, or performance-based marketing roles, with demonstrated impact on revenue growth and program performance.
- Proven experience managing an affiliate program or partner portfolio, including onboarding, partner communications, performance monitoring, and optimization.
- Hands-on experience with affiliate tracking platforms (Impact preferred) and comfort troubleshooting tracking, attribution, and reporting issues.
- Strong working knowledge of tracking and measurement concepts (attribution models, conversion reporting, order validation, reversals, promo code governance).
- Experience assessing traffic sources and identifying potential fraud, compliance concerns, or quality issues; ability to escalate risks with clear context and recommendations.
- Analytical and outcomes-oriented: able to translate performance data into insights, testing plans, and clear recommendations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present performance updates and proposals clearly to stakeholders and leadership.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative working style; ability to coordinate cross-functionally and drive work forward within defined guardrails and approval pathways.
- Comfort adopting new tools and technologies, including AI-enabled workflows, to improve throughput and quality.
- Alignment with Bark’s mission and values, with a practical, feedback-oriented approach to continuous improvement.
