About the role
- Process vendor invoices, verify coding accuracy, and execute payments according to terms in a dual-authorization control environment
- Manage vendor relationships, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate vendor data
- Ensure proper documentation and audit trails for all transactions
- Maintain vendor W-9 documentation and support 1099 reporting
- Monitor AR aging and conduct collections outreach as needed
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies
- Process customer payments and apply to appropriate invoices
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and investigate variances
- Track cost of goods sold for hardware products (Bark Phone, Watch, Home)
- Process customer refunds and credits in accordance with company policy
- Maintain prepaid expense schedules and record monthly amortization
- Prepare data files and supporting documentation for state and local sales/use tax returns
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles
- Progress toward CPA certification
- Experience supporting a high-growth or scaling business
- Strong working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation processes
- Proficiency with QuickBooks accounting software and advanced Excel skills
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive use of automation and AI in everyday tasks
