About the role

  • Conduct end-to-end market risk stress testing: scenario design, scenario implementation, results consolidation, internal and external reporting, and analysis of stress scenario results
  • Lead planning related to setting quantitative work priorities aligned with the bank’s strategy
  • Identify continuous improvements across model development and validation tasks
  • Maintain and provide oversight of model development and model risk management to support business requirements and enterprise risk appetite
  • Lead and provide methodological, analytical, and technical guidance to influence strategic and tactical approaches for development/validation projects
  • Work closely with model stakeholders and senior management to communicate submission and validation outcomes
  • Perform statistical analysis on large datasets and interpret results using qualitative and quantitative approaches
  • Support development and oversight of model management processes and standards (development, performance monitoring, implementation, usage)
  • Assess impact of Enterprise and Regulatory requirement changes and lead implementation of process changes
  • Support development of workflow infrastructure and technology for model-related processes
  • Project manage change initiatives: define actions, timelines, and track to completion
  • Enhance ongoing monitoring and related risk management capabilities
  • Support model-related regulatory engagements and compile regulatory materials
  • Participate in Quality Control routines across the model lifecycle and identify process improvements
  • Provide ad-hoc support to horizontal MTSO team initiatives

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • Degree in a relevant quantitative discipline
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in the financial services industry
  • Strong knowledge / experience in model risk management practices / related regulatory requirements
  • Good analytical and quantitative capabilities
  • Highly organized and able to execute multiple priorities
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with teammates as well as senior management
  • Experience performing statistical analysis on large datasets
