About the role
- Contribute to the design, delivery, acceptance, and sustainment of the Enhanced Defence High Frequency Communications System and related projects across Australia and New Zealand
- Engage in complex systems engineering activities across software and hardware design, system analysis, acceptance testing, and certification
- Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation and drawings within a formal engineering documentation management system
- Be involved in the requirements definition phase of new systems development
- Integration and testing of hardware, software, and communications systems in dedicated facilities and at operational sites
- Work as part of an integrated product team and engage with stakeholders across all levels
- Some intrastate/interstate/overseas travel will be required
Requirements
- Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain Commonwealth Security Clearance
- Hold an accredited (under the Washington Accord) bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Prior experience working within a Defence environment
- Demonstrated systems engineering experience ideally in the RF, HF and / or communications relevant discipline
- Strong computer skills
