About the role
- Delivering engineering change proposals and configuration control projects that directly support defence capability
- Work across multiple projects, collaborating with engineers, project managers, and technical authorities to ensure every drawing meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance
- Make multi-domain engineering decisions, mentor junior team members, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Use cutting-edge tools and a strong support network; produce precise documentation and technical drawings
- Participate in pre-employment checks including reference checks, MOJ, security check, qualifications and right to work when application progresses
Requirements
- Over 7 years of relevant technical/engineering experience
- Electrical draughting and CAD proficiency
- Engineering change management
- Technical documentation and drawing standards
- Critical thinking and problem-solving
- Team collaboration and mentoring
- Risk assessment and safety awareness
- Communication and presentation skills
- Data management systems (e.g., PLM, MRP)
- Proficiency in engineering design and simulation software
- Strong computer literacy across technical platforms
- Familiarity with statutory design and safety regulation
- Legally entitled to work in New Zealand
- Capable of obtaining a New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) Security Clearance
