Delivering engineering change proposals and configuration control projects that directly support defence capability
Work across multiple projects, collaborating with engineers, project managers, and technical authorities to ensure every drawing meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance
Make multi-domain engineering decisions, mentor junior team members, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Use cutting-edge tools and a strong support network; produce precise documentation and technical drawings
Participate in pre-employment checks including reference checks, MOJ, security check, qualifications and right to work when application progresses
Requirements
Over 7 years of relevant technical/engineering experience
Electrical draughting and CAD proficiency
Engineering change management
Technical documentation and drawing standards
Critical thinking and problem-solving
Team collaboration and mentoring
Risk assessment and safety awareness
Communication and presentation skills
Data management systems (e.g., PLM, MRP)
Proficiency in engineering design and simulation software
Strong computer literacy across technical platforms
Familiarity with statutory design and safety regulation
Legally entitled to work in New Zealand
Capable of obtaining a New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) Security Clearance
