About the role

Provide independent assurance across the engineering lifecycle for communications systems
Ensure systems and services are defined, verified, and developed by authorised experts and meet safety, legislation, and policy
Lead technical investigations and approve engineering documentation
Act as a trusted technical authority in communications discipline
Shape safety and performance of critical systems through authoritative decisions
Drive innovation, capability development and process improvement across the organisation
Support bids and business development activities
Mentor and develop future talent in the communications domain
Influence strategic growth in communications systems and work across major programs including FHFRR and JP9101

Significant experience within a relevant engineering and technical role
Practical application to managing engineering functions
Understanding of engineering toolsets eg, PLM, MRP
Must hold an accredited bachelors degree in Engineering with chartered status
Be an Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Commonwealth Defence Security Clearance per AGSVA guidelines
May be required to complete pre-employment checks (reference checks, police check, security check, qualifications and right to work)
