About the role
- Lead execution of quality strategy, people development, and regulatory compliance across Dymax manufacturing sites
- Translate global quality strategy into site-level execution and operationalize corporate initiatives across plants
- Oversee product release and scale-up testing; direct end-to-end quality control across incoming, in-process, and final product stages
- Lead major quality issue resolution and direct cross-functional response teams to elevate customer quality performance
- Deploy advanced analytics and continuous improvement frameworks to drive enterprise-level process improvements
- Recruit, mentor, and empower managers and specialists to develop high-performing, cross-site quality teams
- Set expectations and partner with Procurement to drive supplier quality excellence, monitoring and corrective actions
- Ensure regulatory readiness and site certification (e.g., ISO 9001, GMP, GLP); lead audits and act as senior quality authority during inspections
- Build and maintain metrics dashboards, analyze site trends, and present actionable insights to executive leadership
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive experience in quality management within manufacturing, including 3–5+ years in a multi-site or senior leadership capacity
- BS degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field – or equivalency required; advanced degree strongly preferred
- Technically skilled in: LIMS, QMS platforms (MasterControl, ETQ, Arena); Common QC instrumentation and calibration procedures; Minitab, Excel, and ERP systems (JDE-E1 especially helpful)
- Proficient in data-driven quality tools such as SPC, root cause analysis, and performance dashboards
- Experienced in cross-functional collaboration, especially with Operations, R&D, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams
- Clear and confident communicator with the ability to convey quality insights to executive stakeholders, customers, and auditors
- Demonstrated success leading high-performing teams and building quality-driven cultures across functions or locations
- Deep knowledge of batch release protocols, scale-up validation, and process qualification in specialty chemical or adhesive manufacturing
- Proven track record managing customer and regulatory audits, quality agreements, and complex CAPA investigations
