About the role

  • Manages the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, selection, onboarding, engagement, development, retention, and separation
  • Develops and maintains a trusted-advisor relationship with the Director of Operations and senior leadership
  • Establishes and maintains a visible, positive presence among team members at all levels
  • Actively participates in arbitrations, grievances, and contract negotiations
  • Ensures HR practices comply with company policy and legal requirements

Requirements

  • The combined total of education and professional experience must exceed 5 years:
  • Leadership role: Requires 2–4 years of experience leading a team of HR professionals, implementing HR strategy, and maintaining employee relationships.
  • Technical role: Requires 5–7 years of HR experience.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field may count for three of the five required years.
  • An MBA or master’s degree in a related field may count for two additional years toward the five-year requirement.
  • Industry experience: 3–5 years of experience in hospitality, food & beverage, and/or retail is preferred.
  • SHRM-SCP or HRCI-SPHR certification preferred.
  • Deep knowledge across HR disciplines, including recruitment, employee relations, labor/union relations, training and development, benefits, and compensation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; demonstrated expertise in preparing documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and business software; ability to learn new systems quickly.
