About the role
- Provide general HR and administrative support to the People & Culture department
- Manage functions such as recruitment, onboarding, compensation, benefits, and employee relations
- Maintain compliance with labor laws and company policies
- Assist in the execution of People and Culture initiatives
- Respond to inquiries related to pay, paid time off, and onboarding process
- Conduct new hire orientation and maintain team member files
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of combined educational and professional experience
- Requires a high school diploma or GED
- Requires 2 to 4 years of administrative experience, preferably in an HR department
- 1 year of experience in hospitality, food, beverage and/or retail preferred
- Requires coursework towards HR certification or understanding of HR best practices
- Bilingual in Canadian French and English for reading, writing, and speaking at a business level
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience with HRIS and business systems
