About the role

  • Provide general HR and administrative support to the People & Culture department
  • Manage functions such as recruitment, onboarding, compensation, benefits, and employee relations
  • Maintain compliance with labor laws and company policies
  • Assist in the execution of People and Culture initiatives
  • Respond to inquiries related to pay, paid time off, and onboarding process
  • Conduct new hire orientation and maintain team member files

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of combined educational and professional experience
  • Requires a high school diploma or GED
  • Requires 2 to 4 years of administrative experience, preferably in an HR department
  • 1 year of experience in hospitality, food, beverage and/or retail preferred
  • Requires coursework towards HR certification or understanding of HR best practices
  • Bilingual in Canadian French and English for reading, writing, and speaking at a business level
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with HRIS and business systems
