About the role
- Collaborates with appropriate interdisciplinary team members in assuring that services are provided in a safe, efficient, and cost effective manner that enhances patient, staff, and physician satisfaction.
- Accountable for department success through sound decision making, fiscal financial planning, maintaining appropriate staff levels, monitoring competency and quality of services.
- Demonstrates the ability to facilitate staff and resources to reinforce the vision of Avera.
- Cultivates relationships across functions and departments of local facility, region, and system.
- Develops short and long range plans for the department, community and health system.
- Develops positive relationships with customers (physicians, patients, families, and referral sources) that help to promote Avera’s referral base.
- Maintains basic knowledge of Medicare reimbursement principles, understands and addresses to applicable laws and regulations, reviews and updates departmental policies and practices to reflect current regulations.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Board of Nursing
- An active license in the state of practice
- Upon Hire
- 4-6 years RN
