About the role
- Responsible for planning, developing, and delivering products to market for a product or portfolio solution area.
- Lead cross-functional core and extended teams through all phases of the product development and delivery process.
- Develop, manage, and maintain the overall program plan, ensuring timely execution of deliverables.
- Contribute to the development of product specifications and requirements.
- Organize, plan, and ensure execution of all program components across multiple teams.
- Serve as the primary interface to the Avaya Leadership Team for program and phase reviews.
- Understand and communicate the financial impact of products and product lines, setting appropriate expectations.
- Identify business risks and coordinate mitigation strategies.
- Assess business readiness to successfully deliver products to market.
- Use market trends and competitive insights to define and execute the product’s route to market.
- Own final accountability for program execution and business readiness outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to establish pricing proposals.
- Maintain efficient and organized workflows to ensure quality and consistency of deliverables.
- Interface with product management, development, services, supply chain, sales, and support organizations to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional programs from concept through market delivery.
- Strong understanding of product lifecycle management and portfolio management principles.
- Ability to analyze financial impacts and business risks related to product development and launch.
- Experience working with market trends, competitive analysis, and go-to-market strategies.
- Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Knowledge of company products, supply chain operations, marketing, and services policies and procedures is preferred
- Experience managing hardware development processes is considered an asset.
- Typically requires 5 – 8 years experience and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
