About the role
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth and market penetration in the renewable energy sector.
- Identify and cultivate key relationships with utilities, developers, independent power producers, and other stakeholders.
- Lead high-level negotiations and close complex sales deals, ensuring alignment with company objectives and profitability goals.
- Utilize a consultative sales approach to understand client needs, tailor solutions, and deliver value-driven proposals.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, and engineering teams to refine offerings and enhance customer experience.
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and market dynamics to inform business strategies.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and key networking events to elevate brand presence and drive lead generation.
- Provide accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and sales performance analysis to executive leadership.
Requirements
- US Citizenship (required)
- 8+ years of experience in enterprise sales, with a proven track record of leadership in the renewable energy sector (solar, wind, energy storage, grid solutions, etc.).
- Strong background in selling complex solutions, including SaaS, hardware, or integrated technology platforms, to energy stakeholders.
- Established relationships with key decision-makers within the renewable energy ecosystem.
- Develop and execute a business plan that will achieve sales quota and budget as defined by the company.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Expertise in navigating regulatory and policy frameworks within the energy industry.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to travel as required to meet clients, attend events, and drive business growth.
- Preferred locations for this potential sales role include Pleasanton - CA, Portland - OR, Seattle - WA.
