About the role
- Set and execute the growth strategy for the LP Transfers service line, including new products, services, markets and client segments
- Full P&L accountability with focus on sustainable revenue growth and profitability
- Manage and deepen senior client relationships with asset managers; lead onboarding, growth and retention of client accounts
- Support business development and market positioning; work with Sales on propositions, pitches and thought leadership
- Lead, recruit and develop high-performing delivery teams of lawyers, paralegals and consultants; drive productivity and performance metrics
- Collaborate with CTO, COO and Product teams to enhance automation, productivity and use of AVA AI platform
- Partner with Commercial team on pricing models, forecasts and budgets to strengthen commercial performance
- Represent Avantia at industry events and contribute to market leadership in LP transfers
- Report to the COO and work closely with VP Sales, CTO, CEO and executive leadership; direct reports include delivery lawyers and paralegals
- Ensure service delivery within SLAs and drive operational excellence (reduced time-to-revenue, team scaling)
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with substantial private investment funds experience (typically 8+ years) gained at a leading law firm or in-house
- Experienced in developing and managing client relationships, supporting business development, and delivering high-quality outcomes
- Strong commercial awareness with exposure to P&L management and financial performance
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience in building, supporting, and growing teams
- Entrepreneurial and ambitious, with a keen interest in evolving the delivery of legal services
- Genuine enthusiasm for technology, AI, and innovation in professional services
