About the role
- Learn Autodesk's AECO product line, new technologies, and the AEC industry to inform your work
- Research existing information sources to assess available materials and identify gaps therein
- Create documentation for a variety of audiences with a consistent voice, a clear and engaging tone, and a solid grasp of grammar and usage rules
- Collaborate with software architects and other colleagues to track down information for documentation
- Develop templates, process, and best practices to scale your efforts via the participation of others
- Assist with the cadence, writing, and publication of VP of Software Architecture internal communications
- Participate in honest and respectful debate on priorities, strategies, and tactics related to your work
- Maintain and administer Confluence and SharePoint pages
- Use analytics to develop insights on the adoption and use of materials developed
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field or related experience
- A minimum of five years of experience as a Technical Writer, or equivalent work
- Experience collaborating with software architects and developers to create documentation
- A proven ability to learn and write about programming, APIs, SDKs, machine learning, cloud computing, software architecture, graphics, or similar technologies
- An ability and desire to get things done without the need for external deadlines or daily oversight
