About the role
- Collaborate with Project Engineering Manager to define project goals, timelines, and deliverables
- Assist the Project Engineering Manager in overseeing all the Project Coordinators (Package, BIM, Change, Permit, Environmental, etc.)
- Support the engineering project lifecycle by tracking design progress, identifying risks, and facilitating resolution of technical issues
- Assist in the development and monitoring of the Project Design Execution Plan
- Assist in the identification and mitigation of risks and resolve any issues or bottlenecks that may impact project timelines or quality
- Promote and reinforce safety considerations throughout technical delivery and design coordination
- Ensure internal and external scope, schedule, deliverables, and obligations are clearly understood, documented, and tracked
- Support the preparation of monthly project reports to the Engineering Management Director and relevant Market or Portfolio Leads
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or a related discipline
- 5–8 years of relevant experience, including 3+ years supporting multi-disciplinary teams through planning, design, and delivery phases
- Registered Professional Engineer in Canada, and eligible for registration in multiple jurisdictions
- Strong coordination and organizational skills
- Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Skilled in prioritizing tasks, managing resources, and supporting delivery within budget and schedule
- Proficient in engineering software and tools relevant to transit infrastructure design
- Experience in rail & transit projects, particularly LRT, with knowledge of transit standards and urban integration is an asset
- Familiarity with regulatory environments and stakeholder coordination across municipal, provincial, and federal levels
- Effective verbal and written communication skills; bilingualism in English and French is an asset
