About the role
- Lead Transportation Technology Market Lead for AtkinsRealis’ Roads, Bridges, and Tolls business unit, leveraging technology and resources to bring innovative mobility solutions; develop and execute market strategies; drive client pursuits; manage complex projects and programs across ITS, TSMO, connected/automated/electric vehicle technologies, TMCs, and digital roadway deployments.
- Build and maintain exceptional client relationships and industry contacts; oversee project delivery; coordinate with sector managers and BD&S to expand services.
- Manage proposal activities, grant writing efforts for federal funds, and strategic planning to maximize profitability and growth.
- Mentor staff, support marketing and proposals, and develop tools for on-time delivery; lead teams as project manager or technical lead on mobility technology programs.
- Represent AtkinsRéalis in national organizations (TRB, AASHTO, ITS America) and pursue opportunities with DOTs, MPOs, municipalities, and private sector partners.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, schedules, and budgets; contribute to planning, design, and execution of ITS and DI projects across regions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other related field. PE required. Graduate degree, management coursework and/or MBA a plus. 15 years’ experience focused on transportation and infrastructure technology projects with a minimum of 7 years leading, managing and mentoring complex projects and teams. Experience developing relationships with clients, teaming partners, and staff and recruiting, mentoring, and motivating staff for project delivery. Extensive experience with government collaboration on policy, planning, procurement for ITS, Digital Infrastructure (DI), Automated, Connected, and Electric Vehicles, and TMC operations. Actively working with state, regional, and local governments, contractors, transportation agencies and professional organizations. Exemplifies the pillars of team, change agent, purpose of mission, client and people connecting. Excited to work within integrated and multi-disciplinary teams on both large and more unique projects. Ability to leverage existing and develop new relationships to identify and pursue business opportunities related to Mobility Technologies serving DOTs, MPOs, municipalities, and private sector partners throughout the U.S. Ability to effectively prepare and deliver (as needed) client presentations and written collateral to support positioning AtkinsRéalis with state, regional and municipal clients for upcoming opportunities and programs. Seasoned interpersonal and communications skills.
