About the role
- Lead Export Control and Trade Compliance efforts
- Review current export arrangements and mature model
- Provide oversight and expertise for compliance
- Deal with Export Control queries in nuclear sector and UK&I region
- Provide technical guidance and interpretation of legislation
- Develop training to cascade throughout the business
- Support applications for and compliance with Export licenses
- Maintain records of licenses and supporting documents
- Act as a key interface between clients and the Export Control Joint Unit
- Monitor compliance with Export Control legislation
- Lead and coordinate technical assessments against legislation
- Track and respond to Export Control inquiries
- Develop and implement specialist training on Export Controls
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience in Export Control and Trade Compliance
- Experience in interpreting the IAEA dual-use list
- Experience with US Export Controls
- Comprehensive knowledge of Category 0 (Nuclear Reactor Technology)
- Experience of large projects in the Critical National Infrastructure space desirable
- Openness to acquiring knowledge about key stakeholders
- Proven ability to build and leverage networks
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow
- Ability to respond to changing circumstances with flexibility and effective problem-solving skills
