About the role

  • Be the focal point for our National Grid account, ensuring client needs are understood and met.
  • Have, build and maintain strong relationships across the National Grid organisation and internally within AtkinsRéalis.
  • Develop and maintain the National Grid Client Plan / gold sheet and facilitate regular KAM meetings and client strategy sessions.
  • Gather market intelligence (projects, trends, competitors, pricing) and analyse client needs, competitor capabilities.
  • Manage the forward pipeline for the account, tracking opportunities and implementing capture plans.
  • Identify new opportunities and cross-sell AtkinsRéalis services.
  • Oversee effective delivery of work within the account and continuously improving.
  • Ensure adherence to governance processes and best practices.
  • Have financial accountability for revenue growth.

Requirements

  • A track record of success in Key Account Management
  • Excellent existing knowledge and active contacts across the UK National Grid organisation
  • A background and experience working in Electricity Transmission
  • Proven experience of KAM in the engineering, construction, or professional services sectors
  • An understanding of engineering projects and terminology
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Strategic thinker with a growth mindset and adaptability
  • Ability to navigate complex client environments and influence perceptions
  • Commercial acumen and experience in bidding and winning work
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple pursuits simultaneously under pressure and with tight deadlines
  • Well-developed emotional intelligence with the ability to flex your style to suit different stakeholders
