About the role
- Be the focal point for our National Grid account, ensuring client needs are understood and met.
- Have, build and maintain strong relationships across the National Grid organisation and internally within AtkinsRéalis.
- Develop and maintain the National Grid Client Plan / gold sheet and facilitate regular KAM meetings and client strategy sessions.
- Gather market intelligence (projects, trends, competitors, pricing) and analyse client needs, competitor capabilities.
- Manage the forward pipeline for the account, tracking opportunities and implementing capture plans.
- Identify new opportunities and cross-sell AtkinsRéalis services.
- Oversee effective delivery of work within the account and continuously improving.
- Ensure adherence to governance processes and best practices.
- Have financial accountability for revenue growth.
Requirements
- A track record of success in Key Account Management
- Excellent existing knowledge and active contacts across the UK National Grid organisation
- A background and experience working in Electricity Transmission
- Proven experience of KAM in the engineering, construction, or professional services sectors
- An understanding of engineering projects and terminology
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strategic thinker with a growth mindset and adaptability
- Ability to navigate complex client environments and influence perceptions
- Commercial acumen and experience in bidding and winning work
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple pursuits simultaneously under pressure and with tight deadlines
- Well-developed emotional intelligence with the ability to flex your style to suit different stakeholders
