About the role

  • Manage and maintain the SPI database and instrument index.
  • Configure plant hierarchy, user access, and project settings.
  • Customize and manage reports, datasheets, and deliverables.
  • Import PSR files and regenerate them as per project requirements.
  • Ensure integration with other SmartPlant tools (e.g., SPF, SP3D).
  • Set up and configure project databases and system settings.
  • Define user roles and access permissions.
  • Customize templates, symbols, and reports (e.g., cable schedules, panel layouts).
  • Manage backups, data migration, and system performance.
  • Troubleshoot issues and ensure smooth integration with SPI and other modules.

Requirements

  • 12–15 years of hands-on experience in managing and administering SPI/SPEL environments.
  • Diploma, Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related field.
  • 08-15 years of experience in SPI administration in the oil & gas, petrochemical, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Proficiency in SQL Server and SmartPlant database structures.
  • Understanding of loads, panels, cable routing, and power distribution.
  • Familiarity with SPI, SP3D, SPF, and integration workflows.
  • Experience with Crystal Reports, XML, or similar tools.
  • Backup strategies, user access control, and performance monitoring.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.
