About the role
- Generate new sales revenue by hunting and prospecting within your territory
- Actively hunt for new leads through external networks and cold calling
- Understand the communication and technology needs of small and mid-sized business customers
- Present tailored growth opportunities to both current and potential clients
- Develop new accounts and expand existing ones by establishing and nurturing long-term relationships
- Utilize consultative selling skills to overcome objections and close sales opportunities
- Craft responses for Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and present beneficial products and services
- Design and implement strategic initiatives to grow and retain revenue streams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
- 5-8+ years of outside sales and/or B2B sales experience, with a preference for technology-based sales
- Experience and knowledge in IT and advanced technology
- Proficiency in managing sales funnels and previous experience with CRM systems
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record, current auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle to meet the transportation needs of the market
- Demonstrated ability to meet and/or exceed assigned sales targets
