About the role
- Lead technical discussions and troubleshooting efforts for complex customer issues.
- Work closely with customers at all levels and collaborate across engineering, sales, and operations teams.
- Gather business and application requirements from customers and promote ASUS OPBG products.
- Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical engineering support and oversee implementation of solutions.
- Lead training and education efforts on ASUS and market technology focused on customer needs.
- Attend industry trade shows and joint customer meetings; travel for on-site visits and troubleshooting.
- Serve as a trusted technical resource, share best practices, and support complex issue escalations.
- Identify opportunities to improve team processes, documentation, and technical resources.
- Understand system architecture, hardware and software interaction to drive successful design wins.
Requirements
- College degree (Bachelor) in related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Field Application Engineer (FAE) or in a related technical customer-facing role.
- Strong background in x86-based server architecture.
- Experience installing, configuring and maintaining server platforms (rackmount, blade, tower).
- Experience with motherboards, CPU (Intel Xeon, and AMD EPYC), memory, storage (SATA/NVMe).
- Networking experience (10/25/100GbE).
- Familiarity with Firmware, Linux, BIOS, BMC, Windows and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Customer-focused with pre-sales and post-sales technical support experience.
- Ability to travel up to 20% (US region) and perform on-site customer visits and trade shows.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds for short periods of time with assistance if required.
- Attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and confident public speaking/training skills.
- Experience with hardware installation, configuration and diagnostics.
