- The Impact You Will Create
- As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be at the forefront of driving high-impact projects that shape the IT infrastructure for our growing client base. Your role is pivotal in designing, implementing, and supporting advanced solutions influencing both internal operations and our external clients' success directly.
- A Day in the Life
- You will interact with team members and clients regularly on technology design and planning, project scopes, iVenture accepted practices, and issue resolution. Your time during a typical week will be spent on 70% server/network projects, 20% design, support escalations and root cause identification, 5% training, and 5% admin/meetings.
- The ability to manage your schedule effectively is crucial, offering you flexibility and autonomy. While you'll have the freedom to shape your workdays, availability and ownership are key, with flex days provided to balance extensive work periods. Given the need for on-site client visits, you require a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Smoking is prohibited at all client sites and iVenture offices.

Requirements
- We are seeking a self-starter who can:
- Strategically implement and support Microsoft Windows server technologies and related applications.
- Configure and optimize network equipment like switches, firewalls, and routers.
- Lead system and network migration projects for networks ranging from 10 to 250 users, owning all aspects of data and application migrations.
- Organize and execute server, application and data migration projects, ranging from 2 days to 8 weeks in duration
- Tackle high-level projects with significant autonomy, scheduling, and problem-solving.
- Who You Are
- A dynamic IT professional with:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years in supporting Windows desktop technologies and client/server applications in a Windows-based network environment including:
- Microsoft Windows Server, current/latest version of Exchange (or other enterprise mail systems)
- Active Directory, Group Policy
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP network fundamentals and related equipment (switches, routers, etc.)
- Virtualization experience required (VMWare/Hyper-V)
- All current Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems (7/8/10)
- Experience with VDI technologies required (XenApp/RDS or other virtual desktop infrastructure)
- Managing Microsoft Office 365 platform/Office Suite
- High level of knowledge on one or more specialized technologies, such as messaging, databases, Citrix, virtualization, etc.
- A drive for continuous learning and development
