Account Executive

• Own and exceed revenue targets through full-cycle sales, from prospecting to deal closure.
• Build strong relationships with prospective clients, understand their challenges, and articulate how Astro can solve their needs.
• Identify and qualify new opportunities by leveraging outbound techniques and engaging inbound leads.
• Deliver compelling product demonstrations and craft tailored proposals that align with the customer’s goals.
• Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, customer success, and product development, to ensure customer satisfaction and seamless onboarding.
• Stay informed about industry trends, competitive offerings, and emerging technologies to better position Astro as a leading solution.
• Work onsite regularly if located near an Astronomer office and travel periodically based on business and customer needs.

Enterprise Account Executive

Solutions Engineer

• Responsibility for a small number of assigned accounts, ensuring strategic customers extract maximum value from their Astronomer investment.
• Work with Astronomer customers and support the Astronomer Managed Airflow Software installations on their on-premise environments.
• Identify, set up, and measure monitoring & alerting metrics for Customer on-prem Astronomer Software infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and high availability.
• Independently troubleshoot infrastructure issues related to Astronomer’s Kubernetes-based private-cloud offerings, including Kubernetes, networking, database connectivity, and other critical services.
• Drive major incidents, root cause analysis, change impact analysis & implementation.
• Identify and develop automation using scripts for environment monitoring and health checks.
• Provide guidance/direction to the team for critical/complex infrastructure issues.
• Maintain and continuously improve technical expertise about Airflow and Astronomer's products; stay up to date with latest releases and features.
• Act as a liaison by collecting feedback and identifying improvements through client interactions and relaying recommendations back to the Product team.

Senior Solutions Engineer - Cloud Infrastructure

Site Reliability Engineer

• Operate, monitor, and maintain Astronomer’s managed Airflow platform to ensure availability, predictability, and reliable operations
• Learn and build expertise across Kubernetes, cloud engineering, and cloud networking
• Become an expert on reliability of Kubernetes and underlying cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Create strong relationships with customers and help them achieve reliability goals
• Own the customer experience, working directly with customers to prioritize and solve issues and meet SLAs
• Work directly with customers’ data engineers, system admins, DevOps teams, and management
• Provide feedback to shape the direction of Astronomer’s products
• Spend up to 20% of time on side projects (open-source contributions, internal monitoring and alerting)
• Maintain 24x7 coverage through a specified 6-hour pager period and participate in paid weekend on-call rotation
• Participate remotely in a fully distributed team and attend ~2-4 in-person events per year
