About the role
- Supervise, assign and evaluate the activities of shift personnel, ensuring adherence to department and UW Health policies and procedures.
- Plan daily assignments and conduct daily briefings for security operations.
- Assess shift personnel and equipment needs.
- Assist with shift operations as needed.
- Cover as supervisor at University Hospital as needed.
- Keep patients, visitors and staff safe; maintain hospital security and safety procedures.
- Work night shift hours (11:00 pm to 7:00 am) and participate in on-call weekend rotation.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent Required
- Associate's Degree in related field Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in related field Preferred
- 2 years relevant work-related experience Required
- 5 years hospital security/supervision experience Preferred
- Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License Required
- Completion of IAHSS Supervisor Certification within 6 months Required
- Ability to work night shift 11:00 pm to 7:00 am Monday through Friday with on-call weekend rotation
- Ability to work off-hours based on operational needs
- Must be able to work on-site at East Madison Hospital
